Retrospet doesn't detects Travan

Hi everybody!

I have Retrospect Professional 6, Mast Travan 5 (10/20 GB), WXPPro, and Imation tapes for Travan. Windows seems to work fine and recognizes the tape unit, the Travan seems to work fine (I checked it with some Seegate tools), but while trying to make a backup copy, Retrospect indicates that the tape device "doesn't respond" (I've got the Spanish version, I don't know the real message in English).

I checked the whole system, connected the device as a master and as a slave (always on the secondary IDE bus), alone and with the CD-ROM drive, tested with Segate tools (Mast is the brand, but the device is recognized by Windows as a Seagate, and the vendor supplied me the tools), so I know the device writes and read tapes from DOS and Windows... except if I'm using Retrospect.

About the script, I tried to make an instant copy, and a scheduled one. It seems everything is fine. The script, Retrospect detects the device, but when I/it try/tries to make the copy, it doesn't work... except once. It just worked once when I deactivated and reactivated the device from the Device Manager

Any solution?

Thanx
