aemiller
I have a client running version 5.0.540 on OS 10.2 and the client keeps turning itself off. I turn the client on via the Retrospect client software and it is backed up fine, however every time the machine is restarted the client software has turned itself off. WHY???? CallMeDave
Quote: WHY???? Because you moved the Retrospect Client application after you installed it. Dave
mcswgn
There is a startup script (or should be): /Library/StartupItems/RetroClient/RetroClient in which Retrospect is looked for in the directory: /Applications/Retrospect Client If the script isn't there, reinstall the client. If you moved Retrospect (like into the Utilities folder), you can edit this script so that it looks in the correct location, but the next time you update, things will probably get all messed up again. (And if you are like me, you won't remember what you did to fix it before.) Probably best to move it back where it wants to be found.
rherfind
When I have run into this problem, I upgraded to the latest Client version and it fixed it. Also make sure you remove any old retrospect clients (in OS 9) before you install.
