blair
I can't find anywhere whether the Retrospect Driver Update 2.5 supports the Lite-On LTR 12102C (version RAVB) in my (July 2001) Quicksilver 733 with Retrospect Backup 4.3. I insert a CD-R with Retrospect open and tell Burner to "Reserve for Retrospect". (The CD does not show up on the desktop.) I quit Retrospect and re-launch (because Retrospect tells me that removable media must be mounted before Retrospect is launched). I go to Configure Devices. Retrospect tells me "No backup devices found", though when I click on "Device Status..." the Lite-On shows up as visible, with driver ".sdapStubDrvr". I installed the Retrospect Extensions Updater; am running on Mac OS 9.2.2.
IrenaS
This drive was not qualified until 5.0. Retrospect 4.3 does not support this drive.
blair
Are there plans to support this drive in 4.3 or will we have to spring for v.5 (and apparently v.5 clients as well), just to use a drive that's now almost a year old?
IrenaS
4.3 is not going to have support for this drive. Only 5.0 will be able to use it, so you will need to update if you want to use this CD drive.
