GAS
The Dantz Support site says that the Sony CRX100E/X is incompatible with Mac OS X, yet I can easily burn data and music CD's without problem. Retrospect Express 5, however, chokes with: Couldn't write CD/DVD header to “1-03/28/2002 CD”, error 102 (trouble communicating) Device trouble: “1-03/28/2002 CD”, error 102 (trouble communicating). Couldn't write CD/DVD header to “1-03/28/2002 CD”, error 100 (device rejected command) Device trouble: “1-03/28/2002 CD”, error 100 (device rejected command). IrenaS
Retrospect uses packet-writing to back up your data to CDs, and this drive did not meet DantzLab's stringent quality standards for writing to, spanning, or restoring from CDs using packet-writing under OS X. This drive is currently unqualified for use with Retrospect and Retrospect Express under OS X.
