JRW Posted March 23, 2002 Report Share Posted March 23, 2002 I'm using a Sony CRX10U CD-RW and Retrospect Express 5.15 which came with the drive. When doing any kind of backup/archive etc. the write speed is exceedingly slow (about 8.5Mb/min). At this rate it can take several days to backup my system. It makes no difference whether compression is turned off or on (except the number of disks I have to use!). The drive has a write speed of 4x and writes at that speed using any other software. I've installed RDU 2.1 which didn't help. Anybody have any ideas?? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
