wtham123
I have retrospect 7.6.2 with exchange agent. I got full backup of exchange 2007 on windows 2008 r2 64bit successfully. I tried to restore the database and it finished restore but this database was not mounted. Even I tried to mount again, it was not able to mount again. The error shows it is needed the restore.env file. Any one have idea to solve this problem
Mayoff
What are the exact steps you used for this restore? What was the state of the exchange server when you started this restore? What was the original reason for the restore? What is your actual Retrospect version? The above version does not exist.
wtham123
What are the exact steps you used for this restore? I got full backup database from virtual server and I turn off virtual server and turn on the physical server then I tried to restore database to physical server. That was working fine but database was not mounted even I setup to mount database automatically. And I tried to mount again manually it was failed. Virtual exchange is the same condition of physical server except database and transaction log because I made virtual server using p2v tools. What was the state of the exchange server when you started this restore? Exchange Server was working fine and every database was mounted because I deleted every transaction log. What was the original reason for the restore? I want to migrate database from physical server from virtual server. That is why I want to restore full backup database What is your actual Retrospect version? Retrospect version: Multi server 7.6.123 Drive Update and hotfix version: 7.6.2.101 It look like exchange 2007 have specific file(*.env) when I have to recover database. Do you think exchange 2007 recovery is the same as exchange 2003? I think retrospect have missing file when I recover the database that is why database is not mounted well. Mayoff
The versions of exchange may be different but the basic concepts are the same as this article. You need to make sure everything is identical: http://kb.dantz.com/article.asp?article=7926&p=
