szembek
Ok, I've been using retrospect for over a year now and never had this happen. I had a backup set (external SATA HDDs) that I did a recycle on, and set it as the destination for a script. When I run the script I get this dialog asking me to 'select the backup set member'. Unfortunately there is no button to actually select anything. I can browse folders, but never 'select' anything. I have done a complete 'forget' and recreation of the backup set and I still get the same dialog when I try to run the script. Below is a screencap of the actual dialog I get. Mayoff
Retrospect is looking for 1-Backup Set D. Does that folder exist inside backup-D-01? Your screenshot needs to show what is inside My Computer.
szembek
Everything is there.... I can 'open' the folder they are asking about, but there is no way to select it. Edited June 8, 2010 by Guest
Mayoff
Looks to me like you are running a pretty old version of Retrospect. It must be having trouble with the data in the folder. I would recommend a catalog rebuild
szembek
Version 7.7.325 When I forget and then create a new backup set, doesn't it create a new catalog file? I can try the rebuild action, but something is definitely screwed, and that dialog is certainly a problem.
szembek
Rebuilding the catalog file did nothing. I formatted the drive in windows, then recreated the backup set again and it worked. Regardless, there is definitely a problem with that dialog box, because it has no button to actually select a folder or drive.
Richy_Boy
Isn't that the way it's always been? i.e. you have to select inside the '1-backup set D' folder so both backup set folders are displayed, click on one then click "Open". I'm doing this from memory, but I don't recall ever seeing a 'Select' button Rich
