dlondon
I'm new to Retrospect and have version 8 installed on OS X 10.6 I have two 2.4TB drives and want to implement a strategy that will allow me to keep as many backups as possible whilst still recycling the backups through the 2 drives. With my backup I want to back up m-f at a certain time. I was thinking that the backup might go first to one disk for 4 weeks then the other for the next 4 weeks. After 8 weeks the whole thing starts again. Clearly the disks need to be recycled. I'm not sure but I think that needs to be a script that runs just before a disk is started each 4 weeks or should that be 8 weeks? Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to go about implementing this? Regards, David
rhwalker
Why not use automatic grooming to take out the old, unneeded backups? Russ
