ew02748
Hello, I have been running retrospect for years. I am running Retrospect Professional 7.5.251 backing up my stand alone home pc with Windows Vista to an external drive. The external drive has my backup set named backup set C. I have backed up to this set many times with no problems. Today it seems to have gotten stuck. It ran fine for about an hour and then it stopped with 3721 files left to go and 30 minutes remaining. It looks like it is running except the number of files and time waiting have not changed for hours. The immediate backup field says "please wait ...." What should I do? Thank you. ew02748
Suddenly after hours of nothing it is running again and instead of saying "please wait...." it says "grooming 31 of 931....". What do you make of the long long pause and am I doing this correctly?
Hofstede
It looks like your backup drive is nearly full. Retrospect has started the grooming process to free up space on it. If you have a lot of snapshots in your backup set this can take a long time. Marc
