Arroz
Hello, Retrospect 8 is giving me anything but trouble. I'm phasing it out and moving to Amanda. Anyway, I still have some files I need to recover from a backup. One of the problems Retrospect is giving me is the fact that backups scripts suddenly started hanging and asking for more media. This is bogus, as both my backup Volumes still have a few hundred GB of free space. Even if I click on the "Needs media" button and add more media, it won't do anything. But I don't care about that. What is REALLY pissing me off if the fact that my recover operation is ALSO saying I need media. And of course, as much media I add, it won't fix anything. Is there a solution for this? And BTW is there any way to get my money back? EMC did an awesome job picking up a functional product and rewriting it to the point it's simply unusable. Or are they share points being served from another device (NAS or Server)? - If it's the latter, do you mount/access the shares from the Finder as well as allow/expect Retrospect to access them?
