bryantom
All, I'm running Retrospect 8.1 server (build 626). My 1TB backup drive is full. I've got about ten scripts with their own media sets backing up to this drive. Is there an easy way for me to simply move the media set, and then tell Retrospect where the moved media set is? Thanks, Bryan
scsctech
Where are you wanting to move the media set to? A new drive? If so, just make the new drive a new media set and change your scripts to back up to it instead. Put your old drive in a safe or offsite. rhwalker
I'm running Retrospect 8.1 server (build 626). Bryan, This is the Retrospect 6.x forum. Yes, the forum names aren't intuitive, and that's been pointed out before but never corrected, may never get corrected. Here is a link to the Retrospect 8 forum: Retrospect 8 for Macintosh forum Retrospect 8 and Retrospect 6 are such different animals that what applies for one may not apply for the other. To avoid confusion, you might want to make any future Retrospect 8 posts there. My 1TB backup drive is full. I've got about ten scripts with their own media sets backing up to this drive. Is there an easy way for me to simply move the media set, and then tell Retrospect where the moved media set is? Believe it or not, that's covered in the just released (!) Retrospect 8 User's Guide: Retrospect 8 User's Guide See page 238 ("Moving Retrospect"). The steps are similar for moving stuff to a new drive. Whether that is "easy" and "simple" is left as an experiment for you to perform. Russ
