hgutstein
Hi, I have just purchased a NAS drive and tried to test the disaster recovery disk with 7.7. the NAS is a Western Digital My Book World. I could not see the network drive (where the system image is stored) when I tried to boot from the disk. I had previously contacted technical support and they said you could load drivers using the retrospect boot, then see the disk. I tried this, was unable to get it to work (assuming I identified the right driver). Does anyone know how to get the disk to see the network drive?? Thanks, H
Mayoff
Can you browse your network while booted from the CD? If not, then you may have the wrong network drivers.
hgutstein
Thanks Robin. This is at home, so there is no network to browse. Just the NAS as far as I know. Or should I be able to see the router, etc? I can't do that, and wouldn't know how to find the right drivers for that router. All the best, H
Mayoff
Have you tried using the "Map network drive" function of the emergency recovery wizard?
