gtallan
I'm sure I looked into this once before, but can't find any reference to it now. Is it possible to raise the multicast TTL in Retrospect Multi-server 7.6? There's a KB article which says the manual has details, but I don't see any. We're running Retrospect server on Windows 2003 server, if that's relevant. I've been handling this to date by having our router/firewall raise the ttl on the retrospect packets as they arrive, but due to various changes we've made recently I'm not convinced that is still working (I can no longer find backup clients using multicast). It would be nice if there was a way to change the setting within the retrospect server, and avoid the router hack. thanks for any advice, Graham
