Macspt
Is there a way to launch a Proactive backup script so that it backups a specific computer? My bosses computer has not been backed up by the Proactive backup script in more then 3 days. For all accounts, there is no reason for this as it recognizes his computer under "Sources" and his client is "Enabled". All other client computers that are part of this "Proactive" backup are being backed up as expected. Thanks for your time,
Maser
How did you add your boss' computer? Is there a possibility you added him via *dynamic* IP address and now he has a new one? Or he's now on the wireless network and you added him via an Ethernet IP address. If you see the client in "sources" and you hit "refresh" -- does the information in the details change? Can you browse the client's hard disk in Sources? If all that is working as expected -- what I'd suggest would be to delete the last "Activity" for this client from the "Activities" list. That will almost always kickstart a proactive backup for a client (assuming it's on-line and configured correctly.) Giobbi
Check that the client is working, many of mine doesn't. Reinstall or reconfigure.
Macspt
I deleted him as a source and he would not show back up. So I had him restart his machine. Then he showed up and I added him back as a source. About 10min after that, Retrospect started to back him up. Thanks for your time,
Maser
How did you add him back as a source? Depending on how you did that, you might see the problem reoccur...
