dstranathan
I recently created a 3 Media Sets and related scripts for the sole purpose of testing and evaluating R8. Im now ready for production, and Id like to permanently remove the 3 test Media Sets from my backup repository. Easier said than done perhaps? I deleted the Media Sets from within the R8 Admin Console GUI, but the physical Media Sets still exist on my backup repository volume. The paths looks like this: /Volumes//Retrospect/Media Set Test 1/... /Volumes//Retrospect/Media Set Test 2/... /Volumes//Retrospect/Media Set Test 3/... Can I remove Media Sets via the Finder GUI or via the command line or will R8 freak out? Is there a best practices procedure for "pruning" unwanted Media Sets from the file system? Maser
If the console app doesn't see the media sets, then R8 will never freak out about them. Feel free to manually purge them via the Finder once you've removed them from Retrospect. I do this all the time with no problems.
