Problems with Vaio client

I was trying to setup a proactive backup with a sony vaio(model: vgn-tt250n). I get the error 519 as a network connection issue. I've done everything I can to remove the firewall sony put on it, turned off windows firewall and opened all connections to echo requests and I'm still not even able to ping the computer. This is not a problem with the network or ip scheme.

 

This is likely not a problem with retrospect itself, but I was wondering if anybody has had a similar experience with a sony vaio and what they did to fix it.
