Ramon88
I've inserted one of our serial numbers in the online upgrade wizard and am offered two options: • Retrospect Multi Server 7.7 for Windows with Annual Support & Maintenance for $ 559• Retrospect Multi Server 7.7 for Windows for $299 However it is not clear what the differences are. At least it is not on that page (step=product). I can understand "Annual Support", but what exactly is maintenance in this case. Does it mean it includes all release numbers directly after the dot and befor the dot? What about 'bug fix' releases? Does the cheaper upgrade option offer these? And to make this kind of decision in an educated fashion it would be handy to have a general idea when a major upgrade is planned...
Mayoff
Maintenance is unlimited upgrades for a full year. The cheaper upgrade is software only with no tech support or "major" upgrades. It does include bug fix updates.
Ramon88
Thanks Robin, Is there anything you can say about when a next major upgrade is due? Normally it seems to take more than a year in between.
