According to page 273 of the Retrospect 7.5/7.6 User's Guide:

there are two places that Retrospect looks for the Config75.dat (and .bak) file: either the default location (where yours is) or in the same directory as the Retrospect application. See the User's Guide for details.

 

So, those are your choices. I'd suggest, if you move the Config75.dat (and .bak) to the same directory as the Retrospect application, that you remove the other copy of the file so that it's clear which one is being used. The manual doesn't indicate which location is checked first. Testing is left as an exercise to the user.
