Retrospect server password reset

Could you describe in a bit more detail what you are trying to do? Are you trying to restore through a Retrospect client to a remote machine or instead locally to the machine running Retrospect? Is the backup set encrypted?

 

Could you post a screen shot? It's a little unclear why the password is being requested, and there are different reasons why one might be requested.

 

If you are unable to attach a screen shot, see this information:

If you stored the backup set as encrypted, you are out of luck. There is no back door.

From the main Retrospect page I go to:

 

RESTORE

Find Files

Backup Set A-2

OK

Then the ‘password’ screen appears (see attachment)

I emailed for attachment priveledges. What I can do is email the screenshots to you if you would like. We would like to know if there a resolution for this asap

Nope, I wouldn't like that. I don't do private Retrospect consulting. These forums are user-to-user support, and any private help that I might give wouldn't help others in the same situation, which is the purpose of these forums.
