monkeypiepdx
Seriously - the most simple system (Mac OS X 10.5.8) Power Mac G5 with a 1.5 TB hard drive attached directly to my tower as my back up source, upgraded Retrospect to the most current engine, etc. Won't run an incremental back up. Keeps stalling and "Needs Media". This really, really, really sucks. I'm super busy and don't have time to trouble shoot this crap. 6.x worked fine - this is unbelievable and it looks like I might have to pay to get support from EMC? No. How do I get my money back. RolfSchmollin
Hi, first of all, you get support from emc for free during the first 4 weeks. Secondly, I believe they do have a money-back policy. Thirdly, how difficult your situation is, neverheless, there was (and is) the possibility to test it out for 4 weeks+ Regards, Rolf
rhwalker
How do I get my money back. Well, certainly none of us users in this user-to-user forum can give you your money back. I suggest that you contact EMC Retrospect Customer Service: EMC Retrospect contact information
monkeypiepdx
Hi, Yeah- I did a full back up in august and that worked perfectly. I was happy. This was just a simple incremental backup. I should have to test that? I suppose. It just broke on a simple back up and I tried posting to this forum for help, earlier and nobody touched it. And looked through the knowledge base and realized I'd lost an hour or more, trying to help EMC with their bug. Besides - I think this is much too robust for what I need. I purchased a jumbo jet to go three blocks. Sorry, just really bitter because I tried this three times and I'm leaving in a couple days on vacation and was feeling a little frantic. It just broke on a simple back up and I tried posting to this forum for help, earlier and nobody touched it. You do realize that these are user-to-user support forums here, don't you? I see that, prior to your posts in this thread, you have only made one post, yesterday. Don't you think that's a bit impatient for user-to-user support? If you have urgent support needs, you should contact EMC Retrospect support. Here is the contact information: Contact EMC Retrospect Support Russ
