noelwelpton
Hello I have just updated my 7.5 single-server to 7.6.123; as far as I can tell all is well, but I used to send e-mails on events (good/bad); now it doesn't, although set-up is configured. In e-mail set-up panel, if I run 'test' I get an error '-541 client is not installed or running'. How do I put this right, please? Lennart_T
but I used to send e-mails on events (good/bad); now it doesn't, although set-up is configured. Under some conditions (I don't remember which), you have to add the port number (25) after the name/number for the SMTP server. Like this: 1.2.3.4:25 OurSMTP:
noelwelpton
Hello Thanks for the port suggestion, seems to have done the trick - well, the test bit anyway. Should know for certain after tonight's runs. Seems odd that 7.5 worked OK but 7.6 needs to be toldstandard SMTP port, though. Still, I do know of other progs, Dreamweaver for one, which don't assume industry-standard ports. Thanks again, will confirm tomorrow.
