Lennart_T
Running Retrospect 7.6.123, Driver Update and hot fix 7.6.2.101, client version 7.6.107. Server has 3GB of RAM, Windows Server 2003. A few of our clients' backups end with the error: "Can't back up registry, error -1019 (not enough resources)" I found a knowledge base article named: "TITLE: -1019 Out of Resource Errors with Multiple Executions on a Local Windows Server" That is not quite what I see here, since there usually is only one execution running. Anyway that article links to a Microsoft article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;304101 The M$ article tells me to change the registry. Now for the question: Do I change the registry on the server or on the affected clients? Thanks
Mayoff
If this issue actually applies to the situation, I would assume you make the exchange on the client computer since the client is actually reporting the error to Retrospect. Lennart_T
Thank you. On the "Guinea pig" client, adding "registry setting 1" didn't help. I'll try adding the second one and report back.
Lennart_T
Adding the second registry setting seems to do the trick. (Or rather: Setting the value to 0xffffffff as it already existed as 0x00000000.) Now on to the next client...
