Kiwi68
Retrospect Backup 6.1.230 running on OSX 10.4.11 Backing up a Client on a Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition Server. Client Version 7.0.112 Message: "Warning: This client is running Services for Macintosh. Mount Macintosh-accessible volumes on the Desktop for proper operation." I have the Client Volume mounted on the Retrospect Mac desktop but get this message. No files are backed up from this PC. Sorry, I couldn't find a Retrospect 6 Forum listed here. Any suggestions as to what is causing the problem? Thanks in advance!
twickland
It sounds like in addition to the server volume you have mounted on the backup computer's desktop, you have also set up the Windows server as a source in your backup script. If so, removing the Windows client as a source should solve the error problem.
Kiwi68
Thanks twickland. I removed the Windows server from the source list and mounted the volume on the desktop as an SMB volume and all is well!
