Red Hat Linux client removal

Recommended Posts

Hello,

We use Retrospect 7.6 for Windows and we have a problem with a Linux Red Hat client installation. At this Linux client we cannot uninstall and re-install the Retrospect client software. Is there a tutorial about the (manual) removal and newly installation of the Retrospect Linux client program? The manual which comes with retrospect 7.6 is not very useful at this point..

Best regards,

Victor

Hi Victor,

Here are some tips that may prove useful. Please note that the name of the .rpm file may vary depending on the version you are using.

This command will force a reinstall of the client even if rpm thinks it is already installed:

rpm -ivh --replacepkgs Linux_Client-7_6_100.rpm

This command will remove the client from your system:

rpm -e retroclient
