dhemmin
I am in the middle of getting rid of some viruses and this requires me to reboot several time. Every time I reboot I get a panel that wants me to choose either Windows XP or the Retrospect Disaster Recovery at boot time. I don't need to do a disaster recpvery even thogh Retrospect thinks I do. So how do I get Retrospect to cancel the boot time request? Can I actually use the Disaster Recovery OS to do this?
Mayoff
I am very confused. Retrospect 8.0 does not include any type of Disaster Recovery tool that would load at "boot time" for Mac or Windows. What operating system is this? What exact version of Retrospect? How do you normally back up this computer; via the Retrospect Client or locally?
dhemmin
Windows XP SP2. Backup locally. When I reboot two options are provided - 1) go to normal windows boot, or 2) disaster recovery. When I go to disaster recovery it very plainly starts Retrospect and Retrospect wants to do a disaster recovery. Now if that is not Retrospect recovery doing it then who is it? And - how do I remove this option at boot time? Dick
Mayoff
If you are doing a local backup, then this is not a Retrospect 8.0 question. Your post is being moved.
