Chik
Hello, Can I FTP the log file from my Retrospect Server and read it? If so, what is the name and location of the log file? Thanks for any help. Using Retrospect v5 on a G4 with 10.1.2--Chik
lv2ski
Operations_Log.utx is the name of your log file. Under OSX this is found under Libraries and Preferences/Retrospect.
CallMeDave
In reply to: Operations_Log.utx is the name of your log file. Under OSX this is found under Libraries and Preferences/Retrospect. Hmmm, sounds as if Melissa is doing lots of Windows support for Dantz lately! In OS X, the log file is: /Library/Preferences/Operations Log It has no extension (Type/Creator=TEXT/Pery) and although it is a plain text file it reads better from within Retrospect. If you are asking if Retrospect can automate the process, it doesn't have that built in. But I'm sure you could construct an AppleScript to transfer the file for you (which should be even easier under OS X 10.2 as FTP volumes can now be mounted directly on the Desktop!).
