jenson
Using the Restore Assistant, I can select the folders/files that I want to restore, but it only shows the most recent (one) backup. If create a restore script manually, it can see the old backup jobs, but doesn't allow to select individual folders/files. So my question is: how to restore certain folders/files without restoring everything from a historical backup? Applicable reasons: a. Folders/files were deleted before the last backup and need to restore them b: Need to restore previous versions of files
Mayoff
You need to click Retrieve under Past Backups to add old snapshots first.
jenson
I did. That how the manual restore script can see the multiple backup jobs. But like I said, the manual script doesn't allow to select folders/files, have to restore everything from that job. The restore assistant doesn't list the old backup jobs retrieved. Mayoff
I can't seem t reproduce this behavior. Have you tried closing and open the console? What about stopping and starting the engine?
jenson
There they are. Closing and re-opening the console fix the problem. Now all historical backups are listed in Restore Assistant window and I can select the folders/files I want. So it's a bug, whether it's just display issue or whatever. Thanks for helping. Mayoff
It is a refresh/caching issue between the engine and UI. We are working on those types of problems.
