bigbarn
I have a Dell lap top, Inspiron 8100, running 256 mgs of ram, with a 1ghz Pentium111 processor, and it has a Toshiba CD-RW/DVD combo drive, that is supported by Retrospect, and it shows up in Windows Explorer, as the D-drive. So far so good! But when I insert a disc, and try to use Retrospect Express for back up, version 5.6.1.2.7, with up-date 2.8, it will not recognize the D drive, I get a "no supported drives found" message. I try running Devices scan, and it shows in there, but the program will not see it. How can I work around this situation, and get my software to work properly? Thanks in advance for all of you forum users hard work, it is greatly appreciated! BigBarn
AmyJ
While in Retrospect, go to Configure > Devices > Environment. List Vendor, Product and Version for your drive.
bigbarn
Thanks Amy for your fast reply. I actually have done that, and the drive shows up in Environment, but when I try to use Back Up, it gives me, "No drives found" So I am kinda stuck as where to go from here. Any other suggestions? Thanks again, BigBarn
lv2ski
We need to know what it says under the Enviroment tab, that way we can tell you if it is supported - and we should be loading a driver. OR if it's unsupported, and we shouldn't be loading a driver. Thanks!
