SCSI tape drive and retrospect 5

Recommended Posts

I am having trouble getting Retrospect 5 desktop to recognize my tape drive. Here's my setup:

SDT-7000 (APS branded) SCSI drive

867mhz powermac G4

Mac OS X 10.1.5

Adaptec Powerdomain 2930 SCSI card

It works fine with Retrospect 4.3 when I boot into OS 9, but not in OS X. Any suggestions?

Does OS X's Apple System Profiler see the drive?

Updated Adaptec drivers for this card can be found at:

Also, under OS X, it's important that the drive is connected to a card with the same pin configuration.
