rsyester
Yesterday I disconnected a Qualstar 4222 changer w/2 AIT-2 drives and connected a Qualstar 4222 changer w/1 AIT-3 drive. The original changer w/2 drives has been working fine for a few months now. I'm using the same cables, terminator, etc. Retrospect loads the driver for the AIT-3 drive, but doesn't load a driver for the loader. Below is a snippet of the scsi logs from retrospect. Whats interesting is that Retrospect knows its a loader, but doesn't load the driver. wchill
Did you ever recieve an answer to this? We are having a similar issue with almost the exact same gear. Qualstar 4210 and 1 AIT3 drive. The Retrospect log is filled with these messages: SCSI SCSI-A:2: 12:01:19 AM Command <2b 00 00 00 71 4d 4d 00 00 00> SCSI SCSI-A:2: 12:01:19 AM Command <11 00 00 00 01 00> Sense > f0 00 08 00 00 00 01 14 00 00 00 00 00 05 00 00 30 00 SCSI SCSI-A:2: 12:01:20 AM Read <34 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00> [20 bytes] [20 bytes] > 00 00 00 00 00 71 4d 4d 00 00 00 00 00 ff ff ff 00 00 00 00 dltGetBlock: fm_pos 0x714364, locPos 0x714d4d, pos 0x0 SCSI SCSI-A:2: 12:01:20 AM Write <0a 01 00 00 40 00> [524,288 bytes] [524,288 bytes] > 53 67 6d 74 00 00 00 9a 52 78 76 72 00 02 00 00 00 24 b9 a6 da d6 00 00 03 19 00 71 4d 4d d0 c6 SCSI SCSI-A:2: (<0a> passed 336 more times)
