jimstead
Greetings! I am running Retrospect Server Backup 5.0.205 on OS X Server 10.1.4, backing up the server and two clients to a file on a Firewire disk. After moving a large-ish directory structure onto the main server I began getting a failure in the backup, with an "out of memory" error. Presumably this is an artifact of OS 9 and Carbon, since the server box in question has 1.5 GB of RAM and another 2 GB of swap space. I see in the forums that this is a problem that occurs in OS 9, and can be addressed in that OS by upping Retrospect's memory allocation. Since this shouldn't occur in X (and upping memory is not an X activity), does anyone know of a way to address this? Thanks! Jim

What is the exact message? When do you get it? Dave
