WindRiver40
I recently installed Retrospect Professional on a new computer running Vista Home Premium. Retrospect installed OK, but when I start the program the User Account Control window pops up saying a program needs permission to continue. If I click Continue Retrospect runs OK, but it's an annoyance to need to do this each time. It's the first program that I have installed that brings up the User Account Control window. Is this normal behavior for Retrospect? Is there an appropriate procedure to run normally? I have searched the knowledge base and the forums and haven't found a specific answer to this. Mayoff
What version of Retrospect do you have?
dnpeters
The Vista UAC can be a nuisance, and the easiest solution is to simply disable it. If you want to get some idea of the magnitude of this irritation, just Google "Vista UAC". Good luck. - Dave

Horace
Dear Forum, I have the similar problem, however I do not have the 64 bit version OS Vista. I cannot seem to circumvent the logon prompt without 'killing' the session. Any ideas are appreciated... Hoddy Thompson
