stammbt
Our client got hit with this today: "Assertion failure at "elem.cpp-1000". They are running 7.6.111.0. SBS2003 SP2 I've renamed the DAT file. But Retrospect won't launch. Keeps throwing the same error. A new DAT file is created but with the same date as the previous (10/20/2008). I renamed the BAK file to DAT -- same result. What can I do to get Retrospect to launch? (So I can restore a previous .dat file) Will I need to reinstall? or wipe out the config and start over? Mayoff
Try to rename the entire Retrospect folder inside Application data and try again.
stammbt
OK, that allows Retrospect to launch. But it starts with "Getting Started with Retrospect" and asks for the license code. Is this the expected behavior?
Mayoff
It sounds like your retrospect settings may be damaged or missing. http://forums.dantz.com/linkhit.php?id/119/
