filmgraphics
I am using Retrospect desktop for macintosh, version 6.1.230 with a 3.06GHz Intel iMac with Leopard 10.5.5 I use retrospect to archive customer files from my hard drive to CD using the built in CD-DVD burner. I constantly have "Trouble writing media "catalog name" Error 102 (trouble communicating)" errors. I am throwing away more cds than I am using. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Thanks. Mayoff
What type of media are you using? DVD-R, DVD+R? What model of device are you using?
filmgraphics
I'm using CD-R (Sony). My drive is the internal slot loading drive (MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-875 - Firmware DB09). I remember when I first got the iMac and installed retrospect, it would not see the drive at all and I had to configure the device and update the retrospect drivers. I finally got it where it was recognized, but it is constantly giving me the 102 error. Thanks for your help.
Mayoff
From the Retrospect device compatibility database for this device: DVD+R, DVD+RW, and DVD+R DL media is supported with this drive and Retrospect. CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R and DVD-RW media is not supported for use with Retrospect.
