jmedley
The backup server is an iMac running 10.5.5 (Retrospect V. 6.1.138). I backup 16 clients (license for 20) both Windows and Macs. Recently 3 of the windows users installed Retrospect Client 7.6 on their computer (which run Vista). Now I get the message client not visible on network. I tried to forget then new, each of them and when trying to set them up, I'm ask for an activator code. Seems it used to ask for a password. Will take any suggestions. Thanks, Jim
twickland
I backup 16 clients (license for 20) Is this actually what you see when you go to the License Manager (in the Window menu)?
jmedley
Yes, says 20 pack, version 6, 17 used, 3 available (I didn't include the one for me).
twickland
The issue may be that you aren't using the latest version of Retrospect, available here. If the 6.1.230 update doesn't fix things, please list the exact steps you're following when you try to add the clients and the dialog that Retrospect puts up at each step. jmedley
Thanks, that did the trick. Installed the 6.1.230 and when I went to add the 3 machine, it ask for password instead of an activator code. Thanks Much, Jim
