JimDavie
Hi Everyone, I obtained Retrospect with my purchase of an Imation Odyssey "cartridge disk system", and am trying to determine how to create a backup on EACH of the two disks, rotating them every day. Sort of an EVEN and ODD day approach. My logic is to rotate the disks into my safe each night, while limiting the "age" of the data on the other disk to a minimum. I want to keep 7 days (or I guess sessions, since the day's will not be contiguous) on each disk. Can someone point me in the right direction in the manual that could help me with this scenario? Thanks in advance, Jim Edited October 7, 2008 by Guest
rhwalker
Put both disks (backup sets) as destination in the same script, adjust schedule so that the schedule alternates between the two backup sets. As to pointer in the manual, you haven't indicated which version or platform of Retrospect you have.
JimDavie
rhwalker, Thanks for the info. I'm using he OEM disk-to-disk 7.6.111 version. I also have one client installed and want to back that up as well. Both systems are operating under Vista SP1. Appreciate any further experience you can share. Thanks, Jim Edited October 8, 2008 by Guest
