Trial Exchange License stops all backups when warning about nearing expiration (warning!)

My 45 day trial of the Exchange addon has a week to go. Sometime yesterday or last night Retrospect noticed this fact and sent up an argument "Your addon will expire on xx, want to add a new license?" and in so doing deferred all of my scheduled backups waiting for someone to notice the prompt and tell it 'I'll get one later'.

 

I present this information here as a warning to others who might get the trial. In general, though the setup was a bit of a pain the addon works well, as does Retrospect... but if you (like us) depend on these backups and have a tendency not to check the Retrospect box much, "asking for addon license stops all backups" is a dangerously stupid software behavior.
