JohnWLewis Posted September 23, 2008 Report Share Posted September 23, 2008 Our email service provider, Clearwire, just went over to using gmail rather than its own mail servers; this requires entry of an SSL port number so that the SMTP server will allow sending of email notifications of problems, successful backups, etc. SO, how about others who would like to see SSL properly supported: More and more mail servers are requiring this.
