jriggin
So, in the past when I've done restore tests I've only restored from the most recent backup. However, I'm trying to restore a specific day from within a tape backup set from last week, but it doesn't give me the option to choose WHERE I want to restore it to. It just has the "Retrieve" option which of course isn't what I want to do. How do I restore a backup from a specific time to a new location? Mayoff
Try switching to advanced mode. You can then easily pick the destination.
jriggin
Thanks for the quick reply. It isn't the most recent backup in the backup set. The most recent is 9/12 but I'm wanting to restore some files from 9/8 and 9/10. When I click Advanced mode and then "Restore Files and Folders" and select the tape backup set, it just lists the most recent backup from the 12th. Mayoff
If you click Add Snapshot it will show you the older dates to recover files.
jriggin
When I select 'Add Snapshot' it brings up the same screen with the Retrieve button. The last time I tried Retrieve it just started restoring, which I don't want.
Lennart_T
It doesn't start restoring. It starts reading the tapes to get the file and folder names only.
