cemich
Hello, I have Retrospect Professional 7 and am using it with an Ultrium 2 LTO2 tape drive. So far, I'm just dumping files on it, but I'm hoping I can clone my laptop for full recovery. In other words, I'm looking for functionality similar to that of Norton Ghost where you copy EVERYTHING from your computer and restore it all should you have a hard-disk crash or whatever. Mayoff
Ghost is an image based backup tool. Retrospect is a file by file backup tool. Retrospect does not create clones, it creates backups. You can use Retrospect to do a full system restore including the registry.
cemich
So Retrospect can do what Ghost can do (albeit a different method)? Is that what "disaster recovery" is all about?
