numerick
Hi, I need to backup multiple stations with one backup set. if sames names files are located in differents stations, Retropspect doesn't take all files in all stations but just the firs files find in a station. Can I setup a backup which take a full images of each stations on the same backup set each day ? To force a full backup on each stations ? CallMeDave
Can I setup a backup which take a full images of each stations on the same backup set each day ? Yes. Options (in your Script or Immediate dialog)->Matching->Don't Add Duplicates to Backup Set. Uncheck that option, and Retrospect will copy every file. twickland
It's not perfectly clear to me exactly what you want to do. Dave's suggestion effectively eliminates the normal incremental feature of Retrospect backups, forcing a complete backup every day, which is great if that's really what you want to do. If all you want is to avoid matching files from one volume to another but you still want to keep the incremental backup feature for each volume, you should check both the options "Match only same location" and "Do not add duplicate to backup set." Yeah, I think it was clear enough; it was my answer that sucked! Yes, leave the default setting for Duplicate Matching (so files already in the Backup Set don't get backed up if they have not changed) but _do_ check the Same Location setting, so each Source gets its own incremental backup. numerick
Hi, So I will uncheck this option 'Don't Add Duplicates to Backup Set' and it will duplicate same files from differents computer if modified. Thanks
