DaveC12
I have a MAC Pro Desktop with 4 hard drives in it. They are labeled: Drive HD, Drive 2, Drive 3 and Drive 4. Drive HD contains all my programs and etc. The other three drives hold only data files. The operating system is Tiger. When I make a Backup Set of Drives 2, 3 and 4 - everything works fine - saving to a Hard Disc connected to the computer by firewire. However, when a Backup Set contains Drive HD as well, I have a problem. When Retrospect scans the drive HD, it just keeps counting folders and files. After a while, when the folders and files get into the 200,000+ range or more, I just stop it. I know I must be doing something wrong - can anyone help me? Thanks. Mayoff
I have over a million files on my main hard disk. You should let it finish scanning.
DaveC12
Thanks very much Robin. I will try letting it run longer.
DaveC12
Robin, I have gone through the whole process again with more patience. Everything worked just fine. I then erased a test file from my HD hard drive and was able to restore it. Thanks again for your help. Dave
