lramsey
I just updated an iMac to OS 10.5 and now it is not being recognized in Retrospect. The client is installed and turned on. Can anyone help?
Mayoff
Do you have the OS X firewall turned on? What happens when you turn it off?
lramsey
Thank you for the reply. Our network system is handled by the IT department so I know we have some firewalls, of which I am unable to turn off.
CallMeDave
Our network system is handled by the IT department so I know we have some firewalls, of which I am unable to turn off. Robin is referring the Firewall software built into OS X. It was changed radically in 10.5; he's suggesting you visit the Security preference pane on the client machine you're reporting having an issue with and see if it's enabled. lramsey
Thank you. I checked the firewall setup and it is checked to allow all lconnections.
Lennart_T
Does it specifically allow the Retrospect ports (UDP 497 and TCP 497)?
