Maurice
I backed up my C disk to my USB2 external hard drive. When I made my first backup, Retrospect light Backed up the C drive on my USB2 drive. If I read the instruction right, Retrospect will only rewrite over the files that have changed. I like that. A week later I backed up my C drive. I backed up to the same backup file This time Retrospect listed all the files that changed and should be overwritten and it began the backup process. The Retrospect window began listing all the files it was backing up untill the files to back up reached 0. The progress bar which had cross the intire window in the frist backup never made it accross in the second backup. The window indecated that the files were backed up but the progress bar did not make it across. The log indecates that the job is finished. Is this normal or did somthing happen and the backup really didn't happen? Should the progress bar have gone across the entire bar space as it did during the first backup? lv2ski
What does your operations log say? (Window menu at top of screen and then click on Log). It will tell you if it the execution was successful or not.
