cpatchel
I need to do a complete backup of my g5 imac but I keep getting ERROR 206 messages. Suggestions? I'm backing up directly to my internal hardrive (since retrospect refuses to recognize my micronet external drive). --Chris
Mayoff
206 is a hardware error reported by the backup drive itself. Follow the directions in these links for info on backup to the external HD http://video.emcinsignia.com/retrospect/...ard%20drive.swf http://kb.dantz.com/article.asp?article=1005&p=
CallMeDave
Quote: I'm backing up directly to my internal hardrive (since retrospect refuses to recognize my micronet external drive). Retrospect does not "refuse to recognize" external drives. Retrospect can store a File Backup Set on any mounted volume, or, if you configure the preferences of the application, Retrospect can treat your fixed plater Micronet external drive as if it were a removable device. It just depends on what Type of Backup Set you want to use. Dave
