Liguista
My server is located on a Mac (v6.1.126), and has clients on both Windows XP and Mac, with no problems. But recently a brand new laptop was acquired, and came with Windows Vista Home Premium. I installed the Retrospect Client v7.5.116 with no problems, but when I try to configure it on the server, it says that its not logged in, and sometimes it doesn't see the client at all. I have tried everything in my knowledge to no avail. Is there some option that I'm missing? Downgrade the laptop to XP? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. SHnee
Vista clients are not yet supported in Retrospect for Mac
Maser
They work fine, though -- I've been using them for the year+ that Vista has been out (at least in terms of backing up *data -- not to use to restore a client to bootable state...) You might check the firewall settings on Vista to see that the Retrospect client isn't being blocked by the firewall...
