rickokid
Hi I get this error in the log after a backup completes and verifies, sometimes several times over. MapError: unknown Windows error 1,398 TVol::openAsNtDevice: CreateFile failed, T:\, winerr 1398, error -1001 Anyone know what this means? I hoping the backup is still happening ok and this is just a random Windows thing, but don't want to take the chance that it's a legitimate fault and the backup isn't happening as it should. I've included the log entries below. Here's the application details: Retrospect Multi Server 7.5.387 Driver Update and Hotfix, version 7.5.13.100 - 02/01/2008 22:00:01: Copying BackupSet on Local Disk (E:) 02/01/2008 22:02:28: Snapshot stored, 9,551 KB 02/01/2008 22:02:37: Execution completed successfully Completed: 18 files, 107.5 MB Performance: 143.2 MB/minute Duration: 00:02:36 (00:01:51 idle/loading/preparing) - 02/01/2008 22:02:38: Verifying BackupSet 02/01/2008 22:05:11: Execution completed successfully Completed: 18 files, 107.5 MB Performance: 230.1 MB/minute Duration: 00:02:32 (00:02:04 idle/loading/preparing) MapError: unknown Windows error 1,398 TVol::openAsNtDevice: CreateFile failed, T:\, winerr 1398, error -1001 MapError: unknown Windows error 1,398 TVol::openAsNtDevice: CreateFile failed, W:\, winerr 1398, error -1001 MapError: unknown Windows error 1,398 TVol::openAsNtDevice: CreateFile failed, T:\, winerr 1398, error -1001 MapError: unknown Windows error 1,398 TVol::openAsNtDevice: CreateFile failed, T:\, winerr 1398, error -1001 MapError: unknown Windows error 1,398 TVol::openAsNtDevice: CreateFile failed, W:\, winerr 1398, error -1001
Mayoff
It looks like extra debug logging you would ignore. Real errors will have a Red Arrow next to them on the left side. Log says Execution completed successfully
