DigiAngel Posted January 3, 2008 Report Share Posted January 3, 2008 So here's what I am shooting for: Do a normal backup 5 days a week, then on Saturday do a recycle backup. My question is this....let's say the the tape stays in the drive for a few weeks...will recycle backup simply erase the tape everytime? My problem is that if, let's say I have tapes 1 through 8 that I rotate. When I put tape 1 in after going through all 8, I get a dialog telling me it's already in the tape set and I can't use it. Mayoff Posted January 3, 2008 Report Share Posted January 3, 2008 Recycle backup will delete the contents of the catalog file, and start the backup set over again as if you have never done a backup before.
