yatcher
We are running Retrospect 7.5 on a small business server with the latest updates applied. When the backup runs the mailbox backup this error is reported on one mailbox out of the system so the log shows the backup as unsuccessful: Trouble reading files, error -1018 (not enough memory) Everything else appears to be backed up fine. The server is a dual quad core xeon system with 4 gig of ram and 100's of GB free storage. How can I resolve this error?
yatcher
The server is a 2003 R2 SBS server with all latest updates and patches installed.

yatcher
The patch in that article does not work. I have found this though through another forum: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/940349 Unsure if it has worked at this point. yatcher
Even with the VSS updates the memory error still occurs: File "OEE\Contacts\0000000096ee8cea4a66094f880a80820b05d9790700780039bd639ea64d96ddd35eae12577300000000c77f0000780039bd639ea64d96ddd35eae125773000000071e910000": can't read, error -1018 (not enough memory) Trouble reading files, error -1018 (not enough memory) 5/01/2008 11:11:25 PM: Execution incomplete
yatcher
Actually looking at the error in the dantz KB article I do not think it is the same at all. That error suggested is not reported in the event log and the error does not include "Can't use Open File Backup Option". Is there any other suggestions? Mayoff
My guess would be some type of corruption within the mailbox is preventing Retrospect from copying data from that mailbox. The History tab of the Activity Monitor may show an "errors" button, this may help you find the file Retrospect can't read.
yatcher
The problem was solved by deleting the user and the users mailbox.
