jwright
Is a "transfer snapshot" selecting "all snapshots" and "all files" the same as a "transfer backup set"? Scenario: Back up to disk 1, then transfer the data to disk 2. I would like to transfer all of the *.rdb files from disk 1 to 2, so that should disk 1 fail, I can simply copy the files from disk 2 back to the original location (on a replacement disk). I am not sure which option, "transfer backup set" or "transfer snapshot", achieves that goal. Better yet, is there just a "file copy" script in retrospect? This way I could copy the catalog files off to a large disk too. We could use something like robocopy or xcopy, but were hoping that there was a feature inside retrospect for some of our non-windows admins. jwright
Also, we would like to copy our catalog files from from one disk (local) to another (on NAS). A simple file transfer script would be great for this. I suspect I have missed an obvious method for doing this in retrospect. Please advise. gvanden
The 'duplicate' operation copies files, intelligently skipping those that are already at the destination.
